    Two of my great grandads second pic is from my mums (His name was Ralph Arthur Cholerton) side he fought in the first World war
    the first pic and in the home guard but i have no idea what the date would be on this one. And the second one is from my Dads side ( His name was Alan King) (Philpot was his second name before he changed it)

    it isn't a Lancaster. Its a Handley- Page Halifax bomber.

    Thanks for that Harry I should have looked more closely. I spent more time working out exactly where it was parked. Post now corrected
