Great photo
Interesting cut down Thompson on side of the tank.
Great photo a lot of tankers removed the butt stock on the Thompson it was easier to get it in and out of the tank . Gary
WELSH Home Guard group photo, sadly not named but home guard as some were the leather gaitors, also mix of old guys with WWI medal ribbons up and spotty faced youths, but all with Welsh Regiment badges in their FS caps!
Fairly early as they all have p37/40 BD blouses and when it can be seen, early bd trousers with button up ankles. Includes one old guy in civvies with lapel badge which might be old comrades badge and also two guys in aprons. Quite a few appear to be nco's with trade/skill at arms badges.
Such a shame it is not named, I picked it up today in Llandeilo.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Jerry B great photo
pictures of history! Tks.......
This came in the post yesterday, a gift from Ed (Bananamafia), a great gift and a wonderful gesture IMO, many thanks.
It shows an officer of the RWF c. WWII wearing the coloured FS cap with bullion badge and regimental buttons and OSD bronze dragon collars on his Service Dress tunic worn with collar and tie.
I also include an example of this type of cap from my collection and the collars, which are the post WWI version with looped tails which match those in the photo.
