Hi Nick thanks for posting and the info for those who did not know. Here is a photo of my grandfather and grandmother along with his ship and certificate. Bill great photos of your dad it would be nice if he left you that 1928a1
I recieved these great photos from my Uncle today. His father was in the RAF and is in the pictures stood in front of the ME262, JU52 and in the car. There is also a picture of his uncle on a motorbike (see; 1944 Post D-DAY (Bayeux) Description of fighting in soldiers personal letter for more details on him)
The other photographs were taken by his father or uncle they show the Brandenburg gate, Reichstag and Hitlers bunker!

Grimebox great photos . Nice of your uncle to give them to you. Take good care of them . Gary
Thought I would dig this one out again. The photos are from a friend of mine . Marion was a nurse in WW11 she is now 101 and still one hell of a great lady. lets see if you can guess who the lady in the hat is.
Great thread - Wonderful photos, particularly the Ernie Pyle monument.
I also like the family aspect - You guys have some real heroes
in your lineage !
Regards,
Steve.
Excellent thread, I have a few photos that I will add later.
great thread fellas, love the photos with the tommy guns
heres some photos i picked up as negatives and got them developed because they were from my grandfathers battalion
the two graves are men who were killed in the salient at tobruk during the seige.
unfortunately i was unable to identify any of the other photos but they all look like they are in the western desert and middle east.
regards Paul
Great photos Paul.
I see they had the negative reversed when they printed the first photo.
One of my uncles was in North Africa (one of the rats) and he was actually
from South Australia.
Cheers Jules
