    Traditionalist!

Plus it is sooooo much cooler to say "the whole Nine Yards" than "the whole 822.96 centimeters"
    On THE FLOOR!!!!!!!

"The whole eight hundred and twenty two point ninety six centimeters" reads better no?

Very nice. I've never handled a silk map.
That is a very relevant map for todays world. A quite disputed area!!.
Love the AAF marking. So how big is it?

Sure...it just rolls off the tongue ; )
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

It is obvious why they choose that material, as it had stood the test of time. Who knows how many times that has been folded and handled. If it was paper of plastic it would have been in a much worst condition that it is today.
Thanks Rene for sharing that. I appreciate it!

Plus it doubles as a scarf and a handkerchief in a pinch

Here's another, not dated 47x45cm (should be 45x45cm) roughly cut! single sided.

Nice One. And that one looks like it is more down towards your neck of the woods. A little further south than the other area.
It is interesting that they show the ocean currents. Must be for if you have to ditch at sea. That way you know where you will be drifting.
