WPA V48 US Navy Gun Turret drawing WWII

Here is a drawing of a US Navy V48 Gun Turret . It was done by Illinois Works Projects Adminisration between 1936 - 1943 . It is hand painted . It is 62 inches X 46 inches . I don't know what type of ship had V48 turrets . I'm hoping someone may know . Hope you enjoy the pictures !

Gday davekj,
Just a guess,
The USN mk48 (as opposed to v48) turret was the twin 5inch 38cal turret fitted to Sumner and Gearing class USN WW2 Destroyers.
The scale seems to big though for a destroyer,looks like a cruiser or Battleship turret (four decks deep ),Will keep looking.

Have a look here,
GUN MOUNT AND TURRET CATALOG - ORDNANCE PAMPHLET 1112. USN WW2 document re naval turrets.
Could not find this turret though,maybe a prototype design?
The mk48 was a lighter version of the mk38 twin 5 inch I believe but i don't think it,s the one..
