Article about: I've just about got the Lee-Enfield covered, 2 more and I think it'll be done. From the top, Pattern 1888 MkI Enfield, ditto Wilkinson, Pattern 1903 Enfield Unit markings from the first 1888

    Yes indeed, it belonged to the 5th (Flintshire) Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers, a territorial unit. They converted to Royal Artillery in 1938, becoming 60th Anti-Tank regiment, RA.

    That's in great shape. I might have to start looking for more unit marked blades, adds more to the flavor of each

    Bottom: It's fake, probably made in India.

    They look like machetes. Serious steel there. Makes one think about how the bayonet charge meant something, and why the Brits were so well known for them. I have to start looking at the older ones I think
