Two points, just because lots of people looked, it does not mean anyone has looked who knows anything about these and secondly, as you noticed there is no specific section for these, which partly explains why no one has responded. If there is anyone who has something relevant to post on this, they will do so when and if they want to.

There has never been enough demand. There are forums that cover the period and specialist sword forums that would do the same. If enough items from the earlier period were posted then another section could be added. There are a few members on here who can probably help, but they have not seen this yet I would assume.

It is a circa 1805 Ketland style eagle pommel with a broken 5 ball knuckle guard.
The flash on your camera washes out the grip you can't see it very well.
The round hole under the eagles neck is where the knuckle guard would have ended.
The broken knuckle guard seriously affects the value of the sword.
I missed this post first time around.
