    I think the second is late WWII and the first is post war. Id wait for more insight though.
    When buying a carbine bayonet, remember that they were not produced until the very end of the war, so most of them are post war.

    First one has been messed around with - or is a copy, but the
    second is ok. The M4 bayonet for the M1 Carbine replaced
    the US-M3 fighting/utility knife in 1944. The M4 above by
    Utica Cutlery is a very nice example.
    Someone has unwound the tie down, but it can be
    re-wrapped.........

    The 1st bayo looks a lot like the M4 bayos I've seen come out of the CMP surplus (US). what I've heard about them is that they are clones made in Greece for the lend lease carbines. They are usually unmarked with a paint like finish and that ugly thin grip. Not sure if its true or not but that's my guess.
