M3 Knife

Article about: I have a couple of M3 knives. This one made by Imperial, dated on the blade. Also the Milsco sheath is dated, but difficult to see .

Greg from what I understand blade and guard marked Camillus knives were issued with M8 scabbard. Only the blade dated Camillus were issued with M6 scabbard.
That is interesting. Mine was a flea market find so I have know idea
if the sheath was supposed to be original to the knife or not. I just
assumed that they were a set.

Case knife blade dated was issued with Milsco scabbard only. This is totally correct as issued. Great knife.

    Just a thought,

My M3 and M6 may not have come from the factory as a set but who's to say
that they may not have been put together during one of it's trips through the
replacement depot or mixed up by two GIs playing mumbly-peg.

I know that there is the possibility that they were put together by some unscrupulous
dealer in the 70s but I don't think so.
