I see some of the sheaths for different US knives on fleabay once in awhile. I don't shop too much on line, try scouring local antique shops, find all kinds of stuff in those.

I agree. Ebay will have some original WWII types from time to time.
However, it may be a rather long wait, and you should expect to
pay a premium because many others are also looking for them.
( I have gone so far as to purchase a couple of quality
    hand-made 'replica's' )

If your knife is in excellent condition, you might consider
buying another Q-225 in worse shape just for
    the sheath..........

When the sheaths do come up for sale on eBay, expect to pay at least half the value of the knife itself because they are high in demand. Reproduction sheaths will be around $25 on eBay.

Take it to someone who works with leather for repair like a saddle shop,
or perhaps a flea market where leather goods are sold, or a knife show.
It won't cost anywhere near as much as a new or replacement sheath
    - a snap, a rivet and a small strip of leather may be only
    a few bucks.........
