BUT the bursting Bomb on the blade is the type used by Union Fork and Hoe.
Here is a article the the Garand Collectors did back in 2010.

Nice one Mate I'm kinda after one but it's a low priority for me so no competition from me
Cheers! I've been looking for one for a little while - They are not cheap WWII bayonets so I really don't want to get burnt!

Many thanks for all interest and assistance here!

    Best regards,
    Chris

Great link but I haven't looked there closely, Shipping from USA now a days is too crazy for me, cheaper to ship in from Europe or UK!?! but when it comes to bayos I keep it local, plenty here and it avoids the customs delays/troubles

CMP is where We in the States buy our M1 Garands and ammo to feed them. I understand the rest of the BS you would have to go through could be a a PIA.
    Just throwing that line out!!!!

Couldn't agree more! I still purchase a lot of my M1 helmets from the States, these cost a fortune to ship but is still normally the best option as most Aussie sellers think their M1 is worth a fortune!

    Kind regards,
    Chris

Be aware that this scabbard was originally made as a M3 and has been factory shortened to M7. This would have been done during WW2. While I was looking for mine I wanted an unaltered M7. It might not worry you but just a point to look out for.

I didn't end up bidding - I want to be 100% on it when I do.

It sold for $115 AUS. Not a bad price if all original but it didn't get much attention.

Many thanks for all assistance here
