    The U.S. M-1942 machete looks a lot like your top photo. The blade was 18 inches long.

    It had a webbing sheath, reinforced with rivets, and a galvanized metal throat.

    Not sure about the other but it seems to have the same kind of composition handle and rivets. Could be GI issue from the Pacific or CBI.

    They both look wartime pattern to me.

    There should be makers marks/logos on the blades, most commonly;
    'Collins Legitimus' - plus the date of manufacture, but these can
    sometimes be stamped rather lightly.....
