Unknown Sword help needed

Picked up this sword on a fea market ,Please does anyone know anything about it ? thank you for any help

a look at the blade engraving would be nice.

No real idea mate, it looks nice. the helmet on the pommel looks a bit like a firemans helmet, so perhaps for a cities fire department for parades. Only a rambling guess really.

Hi Anon thank you anyway , you may be right ,i have done alot of searching but cant find anything on the maker stamp K or of the crown on in the hand guard

Think i have found out what this sword is could be Norwegian M/1780 cavalry officer's with order of the elephant ,Does any one from Norway know more or seen this sword before ?
