US Fighting Knife ?

Hi after posting up some images of F-S knives I thought I would see if this rang any bells.



The hanger fitting may have been added as it is a different leather to the sheath and the only markings are the letters stamped into the wooden grip which seem to read M & Co



Tip is damaged

WW2. Made in India. Known to some as a Paratrooper knife although according to Ron Flook in his book on British and Commonwealth Knives, no documentary evidence has been found to support this.

A similar frog is illustrated in the book.
