Are the two fixed Case? If so I have never seen one in person.

Yeah, the man didn't really know much about it. He said he was picking and found it for a couple dollars. He wanted thirty, I offered twenty five and he took it. Ehh, not bad.

Both of the fixed blade Machetes are from Case.
You got a good deal on that one.

I found one of these in an old mail truck on the property. Couldn't figure out what it was.

Here are a couple other examples of Machetes that were adopted as fighting knives.

Of coarse everyone recognizes the V44. The V44 was the the direct predecessor to
the rounded Case machetes we've been discussing here. It was dropped because of
it's weight and the sharp point. The blade would poke through the leather sheath and
into whoever was carrying it. The bottom one is a Plumb model 1917. Unfortunately
someone has removed the cross guards. I found this one in a box of "Garden tools"
at a flea market. I think I paid $3 for it.

Nice V-44! Do you have the Scabbard?

I own one of those plumb bolos. It has the sheath, and liner. Not in bad condition, I'll take some pictures.

I do have the sheath. I don't have any pictures readily available.
