Which WWII Bayonet?

Article about: My first thought when I saw the pictures was that it was an Ek knife. However the rivets on Ek knives were poured lead and would be pretty much non reflective. Mine does not have a cross gua

    Mine does not have a cross guard but does show
    what most of the Ek handles looked like.

    the guard looks odd for a regular fighting knife its a lot longer toward the back more like a bayonet (that part looks similar to my hunting knife converted ross rifle bayo) my bet would be an altered bayonet to fighting knife

    This is theatre made knife popular with both British and American troops that served side by side at Omaha Beach. Originally made by Remington then adopted for the US Springfield. The picture in black and white may not show the pommel clearly under his uniform folding over it. This knife in my attachment is from Illion, New York were Remington products were made for the Spanish-American War effort.
