Default WWII Theater Knife from Japanese Type 30 Bayonet

While I am sure that there are more of these out there, I have only encountered one made by a US combatant that used the the Japanese Type 30 Bayonet for the blade. I was told that this one has Plexiglas, aluminum from downed plane and a local wood, as well as the described bayonet blade. Still retains a fairly sharp blade.

I purchased it many years ago from a man who claimed that his father made this knife somewhere in the South Pacific during the War. Who knows? I know you should buy the knife and not the story; but I really liked the knife. It is cool and as I mentioned it is the only one I've seen with this blade type. No sheath or scabbard.

I have one with a bamboo set up that looks like a shirasaya. My dad picked it up when he was in the pacific. I have to get some pics of it, if I can slow down with work lol

C'mon, let's see it. Sounds like a great knife!

By the way, love that handle. Makes me smile!
