I study war in my town Montegabbione, before Trasimeno Line, in Italy.
In the 16th jun 1944 the 78th british divisin freed Montegabbione.

I'm search The Buff war diary of june 1944.

All I can come up with are the two commanders in June 1944.

Brigadier J.G. James (from 2 May 1944, KIA 16 June 1944)

Brigadier C.D. Packard (from 27 June until 20 December 1944)
