Well, Eva Braun and her family were from Munich...and definitely not Karlsruhe -which is a considerable distance from there. Continuous racial persecution? Was he Jewish? Eva was born into a Catholic family.

Well, karlsruhe is a huge city and Braun is a very common German name. Not too likely a connection there, but stranger things have happened!

German records on eBay are Very spotty. There are many lines I would research too in Germany, but the 2 wars basically permanently destroyed Many archives.

Braun is a common surname that can be found throughout Germany (and other German-speaking countries and regions.)

For example, at present, there are 44,897 phone directory entries with that name for Germany alone, which means that a roughly estimated total of some 120,000 people or so bear that name.

    Now I remember !

Albert Speer attended Karlsruhe Institute of Technology(birth town of Albert Braun)
"Berthold Konrad Hermann Albert Speer" also has the same first and middle name as ALBERT BERTHOLD BRAUN !
I believe my guy attended the same school as Albert Speer, just got to remember were I found the info,

Also Eva Braun was good friends with Albert speer and his wife.
    More research needed.....
