Hi,well he looks like a Royal Engineer,and the picture maybe taken in an Antwerp(Belgium) studio. Leon.

His name was George. LOL.

He was in the Royal Engineers and is wearing the pre or early war other ranks peaked service cap, but is wearing the post autumn 1942 Austerity version 40 pattern BD blouse. He has cloth shoulder titles and arm of service strips, which would be the RE version and has a unit formation patch which is impossible to tell what it is for IMO.
