Hi everybody i found this the other day and I'm looking for some info on Sheridans men.

Little Phil was abit of a nut when it came to the South. He was obsessed with destroying the Rebels, and especially so J.E.B. Stuart whom he set out not only to defeat, but to actually kill as well-which he accomplished at Yellow Tavern. He was reportedly furious and did not want to call a halt to his attacking the Army of Northern Virginia even after the signing of the surrender at Appomattox and had to be Ordered to desist by Grant himself. After the war, though, they did find a fine role for him when they sent him West to fight the Indians. A job at which he proved to be very effective...he eventually became the equivalent of a 5 star General.
