Gas mask, who is this guy?
Article about: Hi, i could not find anywere else to post this and its a long shot. my pal moved house and we found this gas mask with a name and address. anyone know this name? found in coventry in 2007. i

the HG959 is the UK military serial number check here UK Military Serial Allocations this one is HG959 to HG989 Horsa I

I certainly would not worry about trying to return the gas mask. I think the family would regard it as junk. Not quite sure I follow you as to when this person moved from the house?
While the serial number info Nick gives is interesting and correct, I cannot possibly see that actual number as being related to an aircraft in this case. A name and address and aircraft serial code just does not make sence. I am much more tempted to think HG=Home Guard.

Im not that bothered just thought it would be good if i could.
he moved house in 1942/43 then theres no trace of him.
the house it was found in was build pre war.
and was hidden away in the loft.
home gaurd makes sence.
