    FL,
I have just had some information from the Arnhem FB page, Cooper S.H. Sgt 6012810 156 Bn. HQ Coy. 2ic Carrier Pl. ARNHEM. Went in by glider CN 964, tow rope cut By FLAK and landed near Eindhoven with Pte, Agnew.

More information just received; 2nd Lift, Horsa towed behind Stirling LK13O of 299Sqn. Glider Pilots S/Sgt Coombs and Sgt Knowles of "D" Sqn. Took off from R.A.F. Keevil with Flight-Lieutenant Herridge at the controls of the Stirling.

    Regards

    Steve

Once again, myself and the family can't thank you enough. Brilliant.

Very interesting story. His grandson said that he'd mentioned a few times about the Germans directing fire at them as they came in, but had made no mention of the tow rope being cut.
