Need help with dogtag chain pendent with carved message on back

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this post, if not please let me know and I will post elsewhere.
I purchased an entire collection of WWII items of one soldiers a few months ago. Included was his dog tags with a pendent of the "Arc de Triomphe" in France. On the back I am trying to figure out what was carved into it. I thought maybe it is in French or someone on this forum might be able to help me. I can't figure it out

Ohh, that is a big help thank you. The only part I was confident on was the last word which I belive to read "AMIELIE" which is a French womans name. But I wonder why the german phrase and then a French ladys name?

A million reasons why Nicole, it could have been a soldiers trophy taken from a fallen foe - to a token of Paris - to a sweetheart's gift from the liberation.....
That's what I like about collecting - the images the items form in our minds of "what was the person like who owned this"
