Today it is 67 years ago that the General of the 3th army George S. Patton died from his wounds that he had from a car accident.
It was a coinsidence that just today I've visited the American War Cemetry in Hamm, Luxembourg. I knew that Patton war buried there and stopped by
to visit the cemetry, cause I was in the neighbourhood.

Standing before his grave I realized that today it was 67 years ago when the General died because today it's 21 december!!!
To bad that I hadn't my camera with me. I was only able to make some pictures with my cellphone.
Trying to find out how to get the pictures from my cellphone to my computer.

    R.I.P. Gen. George S. Patton.

    A great man he was!!!!!!!

Just a bit of trivia here--

My neighbor served on Patton's staff.
He was a pilot who flew a L4 Grasshopper as a forward observer. He saw
Patton on a daily basis and had him up in his piper cub many times.

He was also part of the Honor guard at Patton's funeral.

I just talked to him last night. We exchanged Christmas cards.
