NARA - AAD - Display Full Records - Electronic Army Serial Number Merged File, ca. 1938 - 1946 (Enlistment Records)

You spelt Leslie wrong (or the NARA did!) - a search on his service number brought this up. Hope it helps

    That's him.
It seems like you've already got a lot of information, but you can never get enough:

Leslie William Babb from Houston, Texas was born 21 May 1921 and died 23 September 1967 from an automobile accident.
He enlisted 13th July 1942 and was discharged 1 October 1945. As you know, he was part of the 38th Infantry Division, which served in the PTO(New Guinea, Southern Phillipines, Luzon): 38th Infantry Division (United States) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm really interested in where you found that dogtag, and would love to see pictures of it. If you want, we can probably help you find a living family member

    I've sent you a PM.
    Best Regards

Sorry to say but this person has not posted since 2013 and is probably long gone ( once he got the information he needed.)

That said, if you click on his name, there is an "email" option.

A long shot but worth a try. Good luck!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
