I need help with the soldier Charles D. C. (-3553). Can somebody tell me something about him? He died here in Luxembourg. Thanks for your help!

No he is buried at the cementary in Hamm (Luxembourg). He was at the 26th Infantry an died in Boevange. Yes I have his helmet, I will post it in a few days. I 'm going to reveive the papers from the cementary this week!

I can only find two men with the surname of Charles in Luxembourg:

So what is the 3553? Normaly the last 4 numbers of his serial number?

Yes, GI's would often mark clothing etc with the last four numbers of their serial number.
