Greetings
I have just seen the story you posted. No wonder I could not find him, you gave the wrong surname!
Cheers, Ade.

What do you mean?
In this thread you gave the soldiers name as "Charles E C".
So I spent hours looking for someone of that name. The problem is "Charles" is his Christian name (or first name as people call it now) NOT his Surname (family name). So I was looking for a soldier with the surname "Charles" and the christian names beggining with "E" and "C". For example, I would write my name as "Stevenson, A."
I have included a link to your new thread about the helmet:
https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/colle...behind-229129/
The way the solider wrote his name is unusual that he did not include his surname in full, hence all the confusion.
Nice item by the way!

The same thing with the date: here people write f.ex. 12/31/2012 but in Luxembourg 31/12/2012!
Thank you
Greetings from Luxembourg
We write the date like you do here in Australia too mate.
