    I appreciate the photos! I've been having quite a hard time finding photos of a Diamant to base mine off of. I'm sure mine wasn't built for military service, whether it was used in that respect or not, I do not know.

    Post some pics when you start to restore it.

    You've got me thinking about finding a prewar bike to fix up now

    I'm currently in the cleaning/taking it apart stages now. I'll keep this thread updated though!

    Stripping the repaint off it and I found some blue and white pin stripes which lead me to believe that it was originally like this:

    So, after a bit more searching, I was able to find a more correct frame as I believe the previous was tampered with...

    The frame number is 908189 which makes it a 1935.

    I like the new frame, where did you find it? Is it a Diamant too?

    I found it in Tver. I'm not entirely sure. I've got it on a German forum to check.

    After some expert packing skills by yours truly, I was able to get this bike on a plane and bring it to it's new home in the US and get some reasonable photos of it.
