Hi Fabe
Yes you are correct that is a back wheel.
At this rate you are going to be needing a body to put on top of all those wheels! Nice find.
Something like: Sdkfz 251 D body found

Thanks! I actually sold a couple of wheels recently & just keeping the best looking/conditioned ones...
Here are the ones I'm keeping - and the 12 holed one is on the way:
2 "winter camo" single wheels: (rubber marking can't be seen unfortunately)
"normandy camo" /a mix of panzergrau-gelb-green/ single wheel: (rubber marking: "DEKA") - the green hue is very light on these, but it's there:
"sand/gelb" single wheel (rubber marking: "DEKA") - seller's pics., 'will look better once I clean it a little:
"sand/gelb" & some "panzergrau" spots (part of a) double wheel (rubber marking can't be seen, but most likely "DUNLOP"):
Cheers,
Fabe
My latest arrivals this week are 2 single outer wheels and 1 half double.
The singles are rusty but were cheap, one Deka and one Dunlop, they both need some extra holes filled.
The half double, jnk (Continental) not so cheap but it does have a very good thread for the hub cap. Hope to join this with another half, which is the rear section, to make a complete double.
Hi Guys
Made a start today on joining the 2 halves of the double wheels together.
A friend made some temp spacers for me which I used to bolt the 2 side together. The gap on the centre tube is about 5mm, maybe smaller, will ask another friend if he can weld them together, if no luck will try and find a piece of steel pipe to slide over the top which will then be welded in place.
The wheels will need media blasting and painting before joining, plus the correct size spacers will need to be made and steel rivets purchased.
I also tried to fitted a 251 hub cap, but the thread on the wheel needs a little work.
