    Default Sd. KFz. 7 wheels?

    Hi all,

Can you help me please? I think these are the rear inner wheels of a Sd. kfz. 7 as the hole pattern seem to match a sd. kfz 7 but the hub surface is flatter that the outside ones which makes me assume they are inner wheels perhaps?

The size is 730mm which would seem to match the sd kfz 7

Also the tyres have 'Continental' written on them with 'Made in Germany' - is that usual to find 'Made in Germany' on this type of tyre?

    Sorry for the limited photos.

Has anyone got any of the same type?

    Many thanks

I think you are right about them being for the SdKfz 7. They look to be a set of double wheels that have been separated, you can see the holes where they were bolted together or where the spacers are located.

Also it looks like the centres have been cut out and replaced with flat plates to make two wheels for a cart or wagon. I have a couple of wheels for the SdKfz 251 that have had the same done to them.

Thanks very much for the response. I did start to wonder if they hade been converted since I couldn't find any pictures or diagrams with the flat hub. Shame really.

I am not involved in the sale but they are on ebay at the moment, the chap has two of them in the same condition. Not far from you in Bracknell.

I was interested but since they are not in original condition I will pass.

    Thanks again for the response.

    Regards

I see nothing wrong with "Made in Germany".

It was for export and international appellation.
For me, rubber looks ok and sdKfz typical.
