Article about: Hi Guys Thought I would share with you my first ever panzer part. It is the sight cover on the roof near the cupola, the arm that attaches to the sight is a little bent.

Well guys I had to buy this as the price with shipping was too good not too. It is a cover for the bearing and spindle of a return roller for the Ausf G, mid to late production.

Now I need to find a return roller to go with it.

Default StuG III Commander's Hatch Part

Well I bought another part for the StuG III Ausf G to add to my collection.

This piece is the front part of the commander's hatch that opens so he can use scissors binoculars. Will restore this part as well over the summer.

The weather was warm and fine today so cleaned the StuG hatch part ready for some welding that needs doing, then a coat of primer.

Also found a partial part number, all I could see were the first two digits - 40.

A friend welded the handle part for me last week and today I cleaned it up and gave it a coat of red primer. Sand colour in a couple of months.

Also for a bit of fun I have included a picture of my StuG III restoration project. I know the small hatch part is around the wrong way but it would not photograph well the right way round.

Got these 3 StuG III/Panzer III track links the other day, not in bad condition and the price was good with postage from Poland. With the one I got at the War & Peace show a couple of weeks ago I now have 5, which makes a nice display. Still have the 3 new one's to restore.

Great work. Your postman must really hate you though! I can't imagine those tracks are light!!

I don't think the postman hates me, as it is not always the same one, but I think they must get worried when they see my name on their delivery list.

The box they came in was heavy, but manageable, four would have been a struggle.
