Tongenerator

Hi, I have a piece of german equipment called "Tongenerator" -

its desing is quite similiar to e.g. http://www.military-antiques-stockho...ori=43&id=9764.

It is in working condition and what it does it exactly what the name suggests - in generates strange "tones"

Does anyone have a clue for what it could be used?

Well a Tongenerator as far as I am aware is a German model of short wave radio receiver mainly used for tanks and other vehicles, pretty much like your link says.

Below are a couple of examples of Tongenerator made radios.

By the way Tongenerator literally translates to English as Synthesizer
