Would anyone know if you can still obtain the Cordite bags (empty of coarse ) for these cases?
2-3 bag's per case was the norm I believe depending on range and projectile type.
    Thanks for looking.

Love the shell.....recently saw a 18 pdr from 1918, neighbour works for ST vinnies and someone bought it in, he thought the staining inside was rust, but it was oxidized gun powder, you could still smell it....he asked me to look at it, he was quite shocked as I was able to tell him the markings....he got 300 for it!!!! All for charity...

Sorry I can't help on this one...

The standard 25-Pr cartridge came with three 'portions' in red, white and blue bags, giving Charge 1 (red bag), Charge 2 (red + white bag) and Charge 3 (all bags). There was also a separate cartridge for Charge Super. Later in the war, half portions were introduced.

They do turn up from time to time, I have some red and blue bags, but haven't found a white yet. I got those from eBay (empty of course )

    Gday Rene,
    Nice stuff mate.
The 20mm could be a Oerlikon Cannon case.

Hi René, the 18 prd is WW1, same gun as my Grandad was on.

    Cheers, Ade.
