    found thise box today, could someone tell me what is was used for.
    There is not much left of the paper on the inside of the cover.....
    Forgot to take out the cloth hangers it contained. ;-)

    Looks to be a combined spare parts and basic toolkit box for a vehicle.

    Pretty sure it is wartime. Try and search it via the "Book instructions and parts list" number.
