Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.

We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,

The Bayeux Tapestry has fascinated me since childhood! Would love to see it in person!

"The Bayeux Tapestry has fascinated me since childhood! Would love to see it in person!"

I remember all those years ago, in school, being told about the Bayeux Tapestry, and the chap with a arrow in his eye..

Our Teacher told us that she lived in France during the school holiday months in Normandy, and went often to study it.

If we had the chance ever to see it, you must, she told us

So, finally at the age of 55, I got the chance, so off I went to see it, and highly delighted that I did

In the shop, they had pieces of the Tapestry for sale (copies), but they were VERY expensive.
