G'day All
Here's my largest piece in my collection, most likely built from parts up in Queensland during the war other than that I don't know of it's history.
Ford chassis, Composite tub, Willys engine, chassis S/N 254604

Hi René, you have just got to love a Jeep!
Very, very few that were ever shipped overseas from the USA now retain their original body /chassis / engine. Nothing wrong in that. I think I would call her a Ford GPW, going by the chassis.
Is she still 6 Volt? I guess 12v looking at the Voltage regulator box.
I put mine to bed yesterday ready for the winter.
Cheers, Ade.
G'day Ade
12 volt as this once had a radio fitted
you are so lucky, just a great piece of history everyone should have one, maybe one day for me.
What are these worth nowadays I paid AU$6500 in running order
I cannot speak for other places, but here in the UK around £10,000 to £12,000. The USA seems to have them cheaper. I know friends of mine have paid £12,000 for French Hotchkiss M201 clones! So you paid about £4000, a cheap deal!
Cheers, Ade.
Mine cost £3,000 in 1988.............
