    What a cool job. Wish I would have been smarter many years ago and either stayed in service or gone with civilian specialties.

    Don't you wish people in shopping centers could park as straight and with such ease as tracked vehicles?

    believe me i do enjoy both
    the money is not as good as when i was in iraq with PSD team
    BUT this is much more fun and im not being shot at or blown up here
    ive been at this for 10 years now and im still like a kid in a sweet shop

    the US members will understand this when i say
    i do 10,20,30 and 40 level work on these vehicles
    to the brits here that means everything up to and including engine and gear box re-build
    infact total re-set and re build of the vehicles

    im the senior mechanic at the moment on a low use program
    we have 54 m1a1, 20 m60 avlb, 120 m2a2-m3a3 bradleys, 30 m113-577, 64 m109 and,, 64 cat m992 , to look after
    its not easy ,, BUT great fun

    PS in my spare time
    i get to rebuild old gate guards
    mostly shermans
    but the odd honney ,,or m47 ,half tracks, done a lot of those
    oh nearly forgot my fave chafies yea love them , beutiful little tank
    the unit COs love it cos they can ride on the old things for there parades
