I seem to remember seeing a churchill or the hulk of one at Warcop range! And I think there was a T34/85 somewhere on the FIBUA bit at Catterick. Used to love snooping round the old bits of kit on the ranges! usual suspects, Pigs, Ferets, Saracens etc...but the odd gem sometimes that I could never ID, wish Ild taken a few pics now.

I think that for serious restorers, there is a section within the MOD that deals with the sale of range tanks and vehicles as they replace them as they become unservicable and are sent to the ranges. I do know that some restorers have been able to save certain tanks and used the hulks or parts thereof to replace the parts they need to complete a project.

some pics of churchills on uk ranges i've been trying to recover and restore one for a while but there seems to be a rule in place that stops any further recovery this will of course be lifted one day as these vehicles are part of british armoured heritage but until then i can only document and plan for a future recovery.
one day i will get one
