identification of U boot, please.

Article about: Hello, not sure what nationality it might be eighter.... Could anyone ID this ship, please. It is in metal mounted on a woden plate, in order to hang on a wall. +/- 30 cm long.

    Are you sure it's a U-Boat, might it be a American sub?

    Hey Chris,

    no not sure at all what it is.
    My first impression was German, but the seller tought also it would be American.
    On a French forum i all ready got two answers going for German VIIc types....
    Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!

    I'll dig out my U-Boat book and see . Some of my weapons books may have US subs so I'll see what I can find.

    With that prominent side blast tanks it does look like a Type VII C .
