Yes and only part of a very strange story that just will not go away! Even if you take it at face value and disregard all the discrepancies around the aircraft at the start and end of the flight and those around "Prisoner number 7" it still raises apparently unanswerable questions.

One of the great mysteries of our time and the basis for a thousand conspiracy theories!

    Great model by the way!

    Regards

    Mark
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

So right you are. Nothing is normal in this episode. The idea of the flight; the start of the flight, the landing, the Nurenberg Trial and the doppelganger story, the prisoner nbr 7; his death...
Well, about all to make a great book
Thanks for the comment on the model

There is a good feature on the Hess flight over the UK in the current issue of Britain At War magazine.
