Sculpted head for a relic stahlhem

Thought to post a cast of a clay modelled head i made inside a shrapnel damaged helmet , the head i cast in jesmonite. im not sure if to eventually cast both parts in metal or not , the assembly is quite contemporary in mixed found modelled form , in bronze both head and helmet will merge together .

I love they way you have it set kind of like he died and thats how he fell its quite wonderful just how it is now

Has the poignant look of a death mask, I like it as it is. I think casting all in metal will take some of that poignancy away.
