There were many reasons that Germany and then the USSR invaded Poland at the start of WWII just as there are numerous reasons (and groups) behind the current crisis in the Ukraine with all of its protagonists using rhetoric surrounding WWII.
Unresolved issues over previous wars, national or ethnic identity, ideological conflict, etc often leads to future wars.

I have bumped this thread as we are to Visit Gdansk next April, any advice and tips where to visit would be great, we are staying some 50 yards away from Neptunes fountain, i have some some pictures of our hotel, one during occupation and one now, in the present picture it is the redish building.
