    Hi Chris,

Ahead of Mike's post here's an excerpt from Mundur i Bron - issue #2 that shows this badge's use in conjunction with air force insignia. Hope you can read Polish!

    Greetings,

Here is the photo of the telegraphists badge. It differs slightly from the radiotelegraphist.

Chris, some more info for you:

Excerpt from Wielecki’s “Polish Army Uniform 1918-1939”

    11) Telegraph Operator
    12) Radio-telegraph Operator
    13) Telephone operator

All three insignias were used until 1926.

Also a picture of a Telegraph unit insignia, officer grade.

Thank's Mike & Tony, great images guys. Regarding the book source which of the two is it from?

POLSKI MUNDUR WOJSKOWY 1918-1939. Henryk Wielecki ISBN 8311085102, 9788311085107
    Or
    POLSKI MUNDUR WOJSKOWY-Z.ŻYGULSKI H.WIELECKI ISBN 8303014838, 9788303014832

What is the differance between the two books if any? Also the pictures I posted are noted as
taken in 1934, interesting that the insignia was still in use.

    Chris........
PS: Just noticed the 1918-1939 in Tony's referance, still interested in differance between both books?

    Hi Chris,

The '1918-1939' book is a study devoted to the uniforms and related equipment of all the military branches of the Polish 2nd Republic. A very useful reference and worth picking up. The Zygulski-Wielecki book is essentially a large "coffee table" format photo book that shows Polish uniforms dating back to the 17th century and right up to the Soviet occupation era. Heavy on the photos and minimal text. A good quality publication and also a most worthwhile acquisition. The '1918-1939' book incorporates a colour section that includes some of the interwar uniform photographs contained in the photo book.
