Here's another on my 'dream list' - a Lipczynski made 3rd Legion Field Artillery regiment. A thing of beauty.

    Hello,

For me, it has to be the officers version of the 1928 badge of the Polish Army Telegraphic Regiment (Pułk Radiotelegraficzny), which is a unit of the Polish Communications branch of the army.

Here is its link (it is at the bottom of the page on the pre-war badge thread), I will upload the photos later - https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/polis...read-14654-11/

I bought it online from Poland, after not bidding on time when it was for sale in America, I paid double the price at 400 GBP, originally it sold for 200 GBP, I recognised it again by the small amount of wear.

I am extremely pleased with the condition as it has survived extremely well for its age, surviving in the most dangerous, but honourable times, which by their hard-won efforts our ancestors created, I just wish I could find out about the original owner, but I fear that information is lost to history.

I am extremely glad and proud to be able to do my small bit, to help make sure that they are never forgotten.

I feel extremely lucky to have been given a second chance to buy it !

Justin, congratulations on bagging this one. I agree, a very attractive badge, and from the auction photos is does appear to have survived in good overall condition. I suspect the spinner is a replacement though. We’re ready to see those promised pictures anytime now . . .

    Regards,
    Tony

    Hello Tony and fellow members,

Here are the photos which I uploaded a few years ago, but luckily now I own the Radiotelegraphic Regiment (Pułk Radiotelegraficzny) badge.

I also have currently received one and am currently receiving two more hopefully original spinners for my Communication / Signals officer badges collection which were all made by United Engravers (Zjednoczeni Grawerzy) in Warszawa, as I am determined to complete my officers badges exactly as they would have been at the time, when I find the regimental badges without their original spinners.

If the mismatched spinners are original they can be used on another officers badge which was made by that maker.

Here is an interesting Wikipedia link which explains the history of the regiment and the details of the regimental badge.

I am also currently waiting to receive the 2nd Communication regiment badge (2 Pułk Łączności), which I have been informed has a good chance of being a original.

I concentrate mainly on Communication and Engineer officers badges, because of their relevance to my grandfather's wartime service.
