Hello Michael,

It is post war, likely 1970's. Produced in two versions, this one with plain shield, and one with the "kotwica" symbol of the Home Army underground resistance.

You’re most welcome.

Yes, this hat eagle appears genuine and would have been worn during wartime. Although no solid proof exists that I’m aware of, this pattern is attributed to either Spink & Son or Firmin, both London based firms.
