For me it is obvious that the most popular eagle in 1SBS was Canadian made (early period)

Hi Rafal,

Perhaps more of a topic for the Polish Exile WW2 Cap Eagles thread. . . The Canadian made eagle you are referring to is the one manufactured by William Scully of Montreal. On first glance they appear identical to the Gaunt, but there are some subtle differences, among them being a lighter coloured more silver-like alloy. Like the Gaunt products, they are of a very high quality, stamped from heavy gauge sheet metal. Pictured below is one of the examples residing in my collection. This one has been ‘custom vaulted’ by the original owner (no easy task due to the hardness and thickness of the metal), possibly for wear on an FS cap.

Exactly!
I have same in my collection.
Additionally - beret eagles were polished by soldiers.

As it is pre-1939 thread I will post something from beginning of Polish military parachuting.

This is a certificate of LOPP parachute course issued in 1938 for an army NCO.

Really rare item :-)
