Please, someone start a Pre ww2 uniform thread. I'd enjoy seeing some Legion and early Polish Army uniforms.

Heck, this thread wil do for headgear and uniforms.

Right now Im in the process of converting uniforms to make them look Polish as originals are rare and expensive and no one is making repro`s of these uniforms (and if they are you have to wait MONTHS! to get it).So far Im working on a wz 19 tunic converted from a Foresters short greatcoat (My Grandpa is a forester (in the AK during the war, he became a forester right after).And a wz 19 officers tunic from a Royal Marines tunic (still didnt arrive yet).

Here are two of my grandfather’s army pictures from 1930. Can you read more from beck of the picture? Where, what rank, what regiment...?

I can read it that well but the regiment is 59 Pulk Piechoty,his rank appears to be Startzy Stelec (Private).
Hes wearing a wz 19 uniform

Also I think the picture was taken in Wroclaw as this is a Wielko Polska regiment (Silesia)

I would say it's circa 1920. He is wearing the Wz. 19 pattern tunic.
