And now... a true killer item.
An ID tag of prince Andre Poniatowski de Monte Rotondo - a founder and volunteer(!) of Haller's Army. A real diamond in my collection and great piece of Polish history. Enjoy!

Since Mr. Dogtag has posted that excellent piece from the 1st Artillery Regiment of Haller's Army, I will complement that offering with another item from the same unit. Here's the tunic and a photo of artilleryman Ludwik Kosinski.

    Hi,
As promissed - another great tag. Maybe not so aristocratic. Still with a great story behind it.
Looks like a typical IWW US M-1918 dog tag. Guess where it was recovered. Well 1920 war battlefield close to Dubienka.

Here is the information I got in archives:
Name : Cali Cinski ( Guess his real name was Kaliciński or Kaleciński)
    DOB: 1890-1891 - Russia

WWI Address: 3222 Warsaw Street (!)- Toledo, Ohio

    Enlisted: 30 May 1917 (Age 26) - SN: 1194821

    Units: Co. I - 3rd Infantry to 26 Dec 1917

CO. B - 27th / 29th Machine Gun BN - 10th Division to 20 Aug 1918 (27 MG BN was organized Dec 1917 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas; designation changed to 29 MG BN July 1918) - 10th Division did not go overseas.
    164 Depot Brigade until discharge

    Discharged: 26 Nov 1918
    Ranks: Private lst Class: 14 Oct 1918 - Cpl: 28 Oct 1918
Since there were no listings for a Cali Cinski in the 1920 or 1930 census records, he probably never came back to US. Either was KIA in 1920 or decided to stay in Poland.

This is so far the only US army IWW tag recovered in Poland I came across.
    Enjoy guys!
    Al

Also Ivan what model of tunic is that?I think the wz.19 officers and normal version were copied from the French.
