Polish uniform ID 1919-1920s?

Im trying to find some information on my Great great uncles uniform and what he may have been in the polish military, my grandmother said he fought in the polish soviet war but thats all she really knows about him. If anyone can ID his uniform/ the Badge he has on the belt going across his chest that would be great! thank you very much

Hello Mappy81,

May I be the first to welcome you to the Forum, the photograph probably taken around the turn of the last century (1890-1910), when Poland did not exist having been partitioned between Russia, Austria, Prussia (Germany).

Your Great Great Uncle is wearing a Lancers Uniform with the Lancers Czapka, from one of these 3 Countries hopefully one of the other Forum members will be able to ID the Uniform for you.
